I’ve been lucky to share my life with some incredible pets who taught me the true value of senior and palliative care.
Charlie, our gentle greyhound, came to us as a senior with arthritis and a spinal cord injury - we adapted his world so he could still enjoy slow strolls and sunny naps. Tyson and Missy, also greyhounds, developed aggressive bone cancer in their older years; surgery and amputation gave them precious, pain-free months filled with cuddles and treats. Toby, my family dog, juggled diabetes, liver disease, gall bladder disease, heart disease, and kidney disease - yet we found ways to keep his tail wagging every day.
They showed me that caring for ageing pets isn’t just about treating illness - it’s about dignity, comfort, and making every day count. This course is here to help you do the same for your own cherished fur family.
