Meet Dr Olga, the Vet

My Story

For over 7 years, I’ve worked in emergency and critical care, where every second counts. I’ve seen how the right actions in those critical first moments can save a pet’s life. This work has driven my passion to empower pet owners with the skills and confidence to act when it matters most.

Beyond emergency medicine, I’ve dedicated time to shelters and Greyhound rescue groups, joining life-saving missions and helping these gentle souls find loving homes. Advocacy for animals, especially those overlooked or mistreated, is something I hold close to my heart.

In 2023, I moved to the Sunshine Coast with my rescue family: Charlie, my dignified senior Greyhound; Cracker, my hilariously clumsy Cavalier; and my trio of cats—spicy Queen Dot, aloof Twix, and snuggle-buddy Tyler. I also regularly foster pets because every animal deserves a second chance.

My journey has shaped me not just as a vet, but as someone deeply committed to supporting pet owners during their toughest moments and giving every animal the care and respect they deserve.

My Values

🐾 Emergency medicine: There’s nothing more rewarding than being able to guide owners through some of the scariest moments of their lives. Every second counts, and being prepared can make all the difference.

🐾 Advocating for rescue and shelter animals: I’ve always been passionate about giving animals a voice, especially greyhounds. They hold a special place in my heart, and I’m committed to advocating against greyhound racing and supporting rescue work.

🐾 Caring for seniors: Senior pets tug at my heartstrings. They deserve all the love and comfort in their golden years, and I’m passionate about supporting their unique needs, including palliative care.

🐾 Empowering pet owners: I believe every pet parent should feel confident and capable when emergencies happen. Knowledge is power, and it’s my mission to share it.

Why learn from me?

I’ve spent years on the frontlines of emergency veterinary care, supporting pet owners through life-and-death moments. I understand the fear, the panic, and the overwhelming responsibility you feel when your pet’s life is at risk.

That’s why I created my Pet First Aid Course. I’ve seen the difference it makes when pet parents know what to do in those critical moments. This isn’t just a course—it’s a way to empower you to take action when it matters most.

When you learn from me, you’re not just getting knowledge from a vet—you’re learning from someone who truly understands how much your pet means to you.
